On Saturday, the 18th of July 2020, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Lazgin A. Jamil-the President of the University of Zakho, Prof. Dr. Yaseen T. Mustafa- Vice President for Scientific  Affairs and Postgraduates Studies, Assist Prof. Dr. Diyar A. Saeed- Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assist prof. Dr. Karwan F. Sami- Vice President for Students Affairs, Mr. Ivan H. Murad- the Director of Language Center and Mrs. Berivan M. A. Abdullah- the Director of TOEFL ibt Test, for the first time the internationally recognized TOEFL ibt test was successfully conducted.

The directors of Language Center and TOEFL ibt test expressed their immense gratitude for the huge support and assistance of the president of the university and his vices from the early beginning of the process of application for TOEFL ibt test till the end. Moreover, they thanked the administrative director of the presidency of the university of Zakho Mr. Lazgin M. Halo, Mr. Hussein Younis, the director of Media unit, and Mr. Farhad S. Jamil the financial director of TOEFL ibt test and the director of the financial unit at the presidency of the university for their immeasurable support. Great thanks are due to both Mr. Sinan F. Salman, the IT expert at the presidency of the university and Miss. Herjin F. Abdullah, TOEFL ibt staff and lecturer at the English dept. for their assistance and hard work.

It is worthwhile mentioning that the availability of such an internationally recognised test is a big scientific achievement for the University of Zakho and the whole region. 

The test began at 9:30am with the process of roundtrip and candidate check-in. At exactly 10am, the candidates started their test and the test was successfully finished at 2pm.
